Reunion 2000 alumni:
Below please find several updates on your upcoming Latin School reunion. Lots of plans are underway to mark your anniversary and kickoff a new tradition at Latin. This year, Latin will celebrate Homecoming & Reunions during the same fall weekend. Although this is all Latin Community weekend, many events have been planned just for alumni.
Friday, October 13th
The weekend kicks off on Friday night with an All-Alumni Get-together and Art Opening featuring work from Katie Dowling ‘89 and Lincoln Schatz ‘82.
Saturday, October 14th
On Saturday morning there will be several activities held in Lincoln Park Including an Alumni and Faculty 5K Roman's run/walk with coffee and bagels. During the day, there will be the traditional Homecoming sporting events against Francis Parker for you to drop by with friends and family to cheer the teams. A Latin Community BBQ lunch in the Park in planned as well. Saturday evening will culminate with your individual reunion party being planned by several of your classmates – more specific details on this event to follow shortly.
Sunday, October 15th
After many requests we are pleased to begin another tradition, a Latin Community Service Project. On Sunday morning Latin will coordinate a joint service project for alumni, students, faculty and friends.
There is a very large convention in town during Reunion Weekend, and hotel space and rates are at a premium. We have secured aseveral rooms at two convenient hotels to assist alumni traveling in from out of town. The Ambassador East (312-787-7200) has single rooms for $199.00 and The Ambassador West (312-787-3700) has single rooms for $160.00. Both of these rates are extremely competitive for this weekend. Reservations may be made by calling either number and booking under The Latin School Reunion Weekend rate.
If you have any questions or would like to assist in planning for your reunion or any of the Homecoming events, please contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations via our toll free number, (888)MY LATIN or email us at latinalum@latinschool.org.
Thanks for your time. We look forward to seeing you in October!
